While countries like the United States, Israel and Italy have rejected these 2024 IHRs to protect their sovereignty, Australia's Health Minister did nothing.
No parliamentary scrutiny has occurred. The Joint Standing Committee on Treaties (JSCOT) was dissolved ahead of the 2025 election before its review of our thousands of submissions could be undertaken and the report completed or tabled, leaving these sweeping amendments entirely unexamined by Parliament.
